Updates to our AIA Vitality programme and updating our terms and conditions

From 8 April 2024, we will be releasing some changes to the AIA Vitality programme from our partners, EVENT Cinema and New Balance, and taking the opportunity to release updated AIA Vitality terms & conditions and Privacy Flyer.
 
Please refer to the list below for a summary of the changes:

Partner Updates
  • EVENT Cinema are increasing their ticket prices and as a result, the price of discounted EVENT Cinema movie tickets for AIA Vitality members will increase to $14 per ticket. 
  • New Balance have adjusted their point-of-sale discount available for Vitality Members from 30% to 25% on selected full priced New Balance products.  
Terms & Conditions and Privacy Flyer Updates
 
Since moving our AIA Vitality Member Service Team to New Zealand, we’ve reviewed our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Flyer to ensure these are up to date and accurately documenting existing business process, member services, and member data storage. Summary of updates to AIA Vitality Terms & Conditions
  • Added more details on what responsible use of your membership looks like.
  • Explained what you need to do to ensure you are awarded your AIA Vitality Points, Active Rewards and Apple Watch Benefit repayments.
  • Explained how your AIA Vitality app may be affected if you’re travelling overseas.
  • Removed the ability to suspend memberships.
Summary of updates to AIA Vitality Privacy Flyer
  • We’ve recently set up an AIA Vitality Member Service Team here in New Zealand, so that team will be able to view your AIA Vitality Health Check and Screening Forms uploaded to the Vitality App if you need membership services and assistance with points allocation.
  • Added ‘speed’ as a new way to earn physical activity points, so this confirms that your speed data may now be shared with AIA Vitality.
  • Shifted some of our on-premise data storage to approved cloud-based storage providers in Hong Kong and Singapore.
  • Clarified that some authorised vendors of AIA, with appropriate AIA credentials, may access your health data to support us with points allocation and management of your membership. There are no changes to your health data storage in terms of who can view it.
